Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink

Back in April, you might have read that we went behind the scenes at Barts Cancer Institute for the summer issue of Pink Science, our Northstar-produced Breast Cancer Campaign supporter magazine. Well, the magazine is finally here! Besides featuring Dr Richard Grose at Barts, it also includes our cover star, Professor Peter Schmid (left) – whose work could hold the key to finding personalised breast cancer treatments. Plus, we meet the Breasty Dumplings who have been getting muddy for Campaign, and the wonderful Boobs and Brass, the ladies who are blowing their own trumpets and raising funds.

The A to Z of Q

The A to Z of Q

We’ve treated you to some cheeky snippets and flirted with your curiosity, but now we can reveal what the mountain-climbing and gallivanting were in aid of – the new issue of Audi Magazine and its cover story: ‘The A to Z of Q’. A comprehensive guide to Audi’s SUV range of Q models, it starts with A is for Adventure (the drive in Iceland), touches on M for Mountain Climber (the trip to Switzerland), P for Performance (we got taken around Silverstone by Audi’s Le Mans winner Allan McNish), and culminates with Z for Zero – a look at the future of the Q range. The issue isn’t only about Q models, though; we also have a close-up look at an R8 V10 plus in a studio (with an exclusive video accessed via the Audi Vision app), hear from Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, and drive the all-new Audi RS 6 Avant.

Calibre magazine’s annual round-up of the best luxury Swiss watches from the Basel and Geneva watch fairs is something Watches of Switzerland customers really look forward to, no doubt because of the creative ways we find to tell the story. When it came to photographing this year’s feature, we decided to enlist the help of man’s best friend. The delightfully squidgy Solo the Shar Pei and handsomely hirsuite Del Boy the Afghan Hound were among the four-legged models that posed with some of the world’s most beautiful new watches, and really helped bring the story to life.

Iceland, Italy and Solihull – three of the places we went to for the latest issue of Audi Update, which was sent out to Audi prospects across the UK today. We went to Iceland and Italy for two stunning photoshoots (to be used across print and digital platforms), and Solihull in the Midlands to talk to customers about what it’s like to be the owner of an Approved Used Audi (it’s really, really good, apparently). Readers can also find out about Audi’s piloted parking technology, which parks the car automatically after you’ve climbed out to go shopping. It’ll even pick you up when you ask it to, via a smartphone app. The Germans call it Vorsprung durch Technik. We call it gobsmacking.

Time of our life

Time of our life

As you may have read, Northstar has now been in branded content for 10 years. Back in 2003, one of our first clients was Watches of Switzerland, the UK’s leading luxury watch retailer. It’s a source of great pride that we work more closely with the brand today than ever before, generating weekly content for their website and consulting on brand strategy, as well as producing two magazines a year for them. The summer issue of Calibre is well under way – this week we did a ‘pre-owned’ shoot with leading still-life photographer Bruce Anderson, working with some of history’s most important watch designs. Here’s a glimpse of where we’re going with it…

We're an award-winning, multi-channel content agency, renowned for outstanding creativity and delivering effective brand engagement.
